On Wednesday 12 November 2014 CML Lawyers again participated in the 38th JP Morgan Corporate challenge, a 5.6km run around Centennial Park.
The challenge supports charities all around the world. This year's donation will go to the not for profit "The Indigenous Marathon Project" founded by Rob de Castella. IMP used marathon running to show the incredible capacity of indigenous Australians to achieve. The IMP participants train with the organisation and then run the New York City Marathon
There were over 6,000 runners and walkers.
Tim Meiklejohn was the star performer, heading off like a locomotive and only pulling up towards the finish line, to take a comfortable first place for the CML team.
Peter McNamara shuffled in like Cliff Young, at a respectable 2nd place, with Rebecca Tattersall, Paul Clark and Mark Glynn close behind.
Three staff members managed to get the same time for a tidy finish: great team work Majella Haywood, Georgina Roest and Kate Stanley!
Clarky is offering anti-inflammatories around, but the rest of the staff are politely declining. Word has is that some have their own secret stash. The way they are hobbling around the office suggests they should.
